A series of Jewish professors across the country have faced lawsuits, termination and suspension after making pro-Israel remarks that administrators say crossed the line into threatening speech.
One esteemed institution after another, Ivy Leaguers and respected state and private universities have been dangerously redefined by a woke agenda that sees them support Hamas.
One protester carried a sign that compared Jews to Nazis via a blood-spattered swastika intertwined with a Star of David and the words, “The irony of becoming what you once hated.”
The council wrote in the statement: “Sadly, there are some who are politicising this and making accusations of antisemitism. This is categorically untrue."
The people in the video were among the more than 250 people who offered public comment during the special meeting devoted to the resolution, which lasted for six hours.
The lawsuit says UC Berkeley's "inaction" violates the plaintiffs' religious and equal protection rights under the Constitution and federal civil rights laws.
Israel's artistic swimming team earlier this month said it would not travel to competitions, including Olympic qualifiers in Qatar, due to safety fears.
"When it comes to antisemitism, there is no room for equivocation. There is no fence-sitting. It is our duty to address and tackle it," Lachlan Murdoch said.
Mehwish Omer, 26, and Stephanie Gonzalex, 25, were charged with assault as a hate crime, criminal mischief and attempted robbery and assault as a hate crime.
