Greek group Public Power Corporation (PPC), which in 2023 took over Enel Romania assets, has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Mytilineos Energy & Metals to develop and build a portfolio of almost 90 photovoltaic projects of up to 2,000 MW in Romania, Italy, Bulgaria and Croatia.
Romania ranks 21st among the 27 EU member states in terms of GDP per capita expressed in purchasing power, respectively 22% below the EU average, beating Hungary, Croatia, Slovakia, Latvia, Greece and Bulgaria, in line with Eurostat data.
More than 40 teams from Romania, Bulgaria, the Republic of Moldova, Ukraine, Serbia and Hungary have signed up for Startup Reaktor, an internationalization program through which they have access to pre-seed investments and the opportunity to expand into Western Europe and Scandinavia, the representatives of the program said in a statement.
Bulgaria’s venture capital firm Eleven Ventures, focused on pre-seed and seed investments in Southeastern Europe, has launched the second edition of Eleven Alpha, a three-month program addressing entrepreneurs taking the first steps in developing their own businesses.
