Evergent Investments (former SIF Moldova, EVER.RO), the largest financial investment company by capitalization on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, bought into Nuclearelectrica (SNN.RO) in the fourth quarter last year, a Romanian government-controlled nuclear power producer, ZF has found from the company’s reports.

Fondul Proprietatea (FP.RO) has sold its entire 7.1% stake in nuclear power producer Nuclearelectrica (SNN.RO) throughout 2020, one of its longest standing investments.

The global nuclear energy production grew for the seventh consecutive year in 2019, reaching 2,657 TWh, per the World Nuclear Association (WNA). Compared to the previous year, there is an increase of 95 TWh, the second largest nuclear energy production ever, according to Romania's nuclear power producer Nuclearelectrica (SNN.RO).

Romanian nuclear power plant operator Nuclearelectrica (SNN.RO) said Wednesday in a stock market report that it would receive a non-refundable grant of $1.3 million from US-TDA that aims to fund the cost of services required in connection with the delivery of technical assistance related to identifying and performing a preliminary assessment of new potential small and modular nuclear technologies (SMR) compatible nuclear sites in Romania.
