Private lending in Romania grew by 16.5% in nominal terms (1.8% in real terms) to RON345.2 billion in May 2022 compared to May 2021, as local currency lending increased by 20% (4.8% in real terms) and foreign currency lending by 8.2% when expressed in lei (7.6% when expressed in euros), central bank data showed on Monday.
